I love what I do… it’s such an honour to be asked to capture the first few days of a newborn’s life.
Teeny toes, milk spots, all squishy and new.
I have such an important job. When these little bundles are sleeping in their cots, it’s these pictures on the walls. When they turn 18, it’s these photos that come out which make Mum sniff at the babies they were. When they have their own children, it’s these photos that are used to say “Look! You look just like me when I was a baby!”
They are more than photos… they are heirlooms, a legacy. Part of a family tree. I’m so blessed to be invited to create these memories.
After a session I feel like I have a connection with every baby that I have been lucky enough to photograph, but here are a few recent ones that stand out in my mind especially.
Perhaps they were just too cute for words, or super smiley, or even just that Mum and Dad were so chilled out and fun it made it more like play than work for me!
